Catastrophic Injury Practice

Every case involves life-altering harm. I bring the full weight of trial experience to bear against the most powerful defendants.

When negligence causes permanent, life-changing injury, the stakes could not be higher. My practice concentrates on cases where victims face mounting medical bills, lost earning capacity, and a future forever altered by someone else's reckless choices.

I have spent decades in Connecticut courtrooms taking on corporate interests, insurance giants, and public entities. My approach combines meticulous investigation, uncompromising preparation, and a willingness to try every case that cannot be resolved on just terms.

Trucking & Commercial Vehicle Negligence

Investigation of driver fatigue, improper maintenance, and corporate pressure that leads to catastrophic truck and bus collisions across Connecticut highways.

Sex Abuse & Institutional Failure

Holding schools, religious organizations, and youth programs accountable when they failed to protect the vulnerable from sexual abuse and assault.

Negligent Security & Premises Liability

Pursuing claims against businesses, apartment complexes, and property owners who failed to provide adequate security, leading to violent assault and injury.

Corporate & Employer Negligence

Litigation against corporations whose cost-cutting, safety violations, or reckless policies cause catastrophic injury to workers and the public.

Medical & Surgical Catastrophe

Cases involving severe surgical errors, misdiagnosis, and birth injuries that result in permanent disability or wrongful death.

Wrongful Death & Survival Actions

Representing families who have lost a loved one due to negligence, seeking accountability and compensation for the full measure of their loss.

A Career Built for the Fight

Sam Wolf Martin has spent his entire legal career representing people whose lives have been shattered by the negligence of powerful interests. Based in Connecticut, he has built a reputation for taking on the most complex injury cases and seeing them through to verdict or strong settlement.

Sam believes in the power of humanity and that true justice should be available to all people. Trial work is his calling. Fighting injustice that happens on our roads, in our schools, in our healthcare facilities, in our public and private places is his mantra.

Sam has been practicing since late 2021, and since then has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients.   Starting in 2025, he is practicing as a litigation attorney along with the dynamic team at the Flood Law Firm, where he is bringing his trial work to the next level and achieving maximum justice for his clients.

Sam strives to meet every client in their home before trial and get to know them like family over the course of representation. He believes that fierce advocacy requires this closeness and strong connection.

Sam has conducted multiple trials throughout the State of Connecticut resulting in seven figure results for clients. He prioritizes education and self-work.  He has been trained and mentored by the country's greatest trial attorneys and is grateful to his teachers for their support and guidance as he has honed his skills as a trial attorney.

Sam is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Connecticut (2021) and in the Federal Court for the District of Connecticut (2022).

Outside the courtroom, Sam loves art (Warhol, Basquiat, Monet, and O’Keeffe), music (Marvin Gaye, Deadmau5, Beirut, and Frank Ocean), and adventure (skateboarding, boating, and foraging). He finds peace and grounding in meditation, mindfulness, and gratitude practices, believing these strengthen his effectiveness as an advocate for his clients. He loves the outdoors and cherishes this nation’s national parks.

Sam is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Connecticut (2021) and in the Federal Court for the District of Connecticut (2022).

Sam lives in New Haven, Connecticut, where he enjoys watching sunsets on the Quinnipiac River with his wife.
